Dut Blackboard

DUT Blackboard is an E-learning platform that provided students of DUT with easy access to learning materials, it is a simple, convenient, and reliable online collaborative learning solution. The Blackboard is used for virtual learning where students are taught face-to-face by teachers/lecturers in the comfort of their homes and residences. The blackboard is a fully redesigned solution that delivers a level of engagement that makes learners feel like they’re together in the same room via collaboration and conference tools. Students’ usernames and passwords are only required to log in to the Blackboard platform to study.

Logging into Blackboard

The first step in using Blackboard is to log into your Blackboard account. Blackboard can be accessed through three methods:

Typing in the direct URL https://elearning.dut.ac.za/category/blackboard/
Through the DUT Online home page.
Logging in using the MyDUT portal.
Sign in using your Username and Password

1. Logging in Using the Direct URL

To log in directly to Blackboard, open your web browser and type in https://www.dut.ac.za/?s=blackboard.

You will now see Blackboard home screen similar to the one above. To log in, enter your Dut username in the space labelled Username, and enter your Dut password in the space labelled Password. Hit the enter key, or click the Login button to sign in to Blackboard.

2. Through the DUT Online Homepage

Launch your web browser and type the following in your browser’s address bar: Dut Blackboard

You will now see a DUT Online home screen similar to the one above. Click the Blackboard Login link on the top portion of the page to access the Blackboard login screen. You will now be taken to the Blackboard login screen. To log into Blackboard, enter your Dut username and password and click Login.

3. Logging in Using the MyDUT Portal

To log into Blackboard using the MyDUT portal, type in https://www.dut.ac.za/?s=blackboard in your web browser’s address bar. Click the login button. On the next screen, enter your Dut username and password in the provided fields and click the Sign In button.

Go to either the Student or Faculty tab in MyUT and locate the box on the right half of the screen labelled DUT Online, as shown above. Click the Blackboard link, and then you will be taken to the Blackboard login page. You will now be taken to the Blackboard login screen. To log into Blackboard, enter your Dut login information and click Login. If your students have never used Blackboard Learn before for their courses, you might want to share the following link with them, to help them get started. https://www.dut.ac.za/?s=blackboard

DUT Online Application Requirements for 2024-2025

Before you apply to DUT you should have the following;

Cеrtіfіеd сору оf уоur ID dосumеnt(ID dосumеnt соmрulѕоrу fоr SA сіtіzеnѕ – уоur аррlісаtіоn саnnоt be рrосеѕѕеd wіthоut a сеrtіfіеd сору of уоur ID аnd Pаѕѕроrt Numbеr for Intеrnаtіоnаl Aррlісаntѕ
Exаm Rеѕultѕ:Fіnаl Grade 12 results (іf аvаіlаblе). Grаdе 11 rеѕultѕ (іf сurrеntlу dоіng grаdе 12) аrе vеrу іmроrtаnt fоr уоur аррlісаtіоn. Thuѕ, hаvе іt оn hаnd.
Rеmеmbеr уоu wіll nееd a unique еmаіl аddrеѕѕ whеn аррlуіng еіthеr оnlіnе оr іn a hаrd сору. Nоtе thаt thе fоllоwіng ѕуѕtеmѕ dо not ассерt еmаіlѕ frоm some оf thе unіvеrѕіtіеѕ: Hоtmаіl, Wеbmаіl, Ymаіl, Outlооk аnd Lіvе. It іѕ advisable tо сrеаtе аnd uѕе a Gmаіl аddrеѕѕ fоr thе аррlісаtіоn.

DUT Online Application 2024-2025

Applicants must complete the following steps to apply online for DUT in 2024/2025:

Visit the Central Applications Office (CAO) website: www.co.ac.za
To apply for a CAO, go to the CAO’s website and fill out the application
Upload certified copies of your identification documents as well as your final grade 11 and grade 12 certificates (June/Trial report if you have not yet completed your final examination).
Before the deadline of September 30, 2024, the application form must reach the CAO office.
Please refer to specific programs for pertinent termination dates as some programs conclude earlier than September 30, 2024.
Before submitting your application, you must pay the R250 application cost for SA citizens and R300 for international applicants.
