As a prospective student, you can access the self-service student iEnabler system on campus or on your computer at home to apply online at DUT. Planning a successful career at DUT does not have to be a vague dream, You can make this dream come true by enrolling on the various programmes offered at DUT. To enrol at DUT, send an application. DUT online application requires an online application form which is available on the official website of DUT. The DUT online application portal is open for applications from prospective students from NOW until February 22nd, and the late deadline is April 25th, 2023.

Prospective applicants must support their applications with documents such as ID documents, the Latest school results, Academic Records, Proof of residence, payment receipts, etc. Applicants must also know that applications received after the closing date are rejected, therefore they must submit their applications before the proposed closing date.

DUT Online Admission Requirements

For Higher Certificate programs:

  • a National Senior Certificate (NSC) as certified by the Council for General and Further Education and Training (Umalusi), with a minimum achievement rating of 3 for English.

For Diploma Programmes:

  • a National Senior Certificate (NSC) as certified by the Council for General and Further Education and Training (Umalusi), with a minimum achievement rating of 3 for English and a minimum achievement rating of 3 in four recognised NSC 20-credit subjects.

For Bachelor’s Degree programmes:

  • a National Senior Certificate (NSC) as certified by the Council for General and Further Education and Training (Umalusi), with a minimum achievement rating of 3 for English and a minimum achievement rating of 4 in four NSC 20-credit subjects chosen from the NSC designated subject list.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS FOR ADMISSION FOR NCV LEVEL 4 APPLICANTS

For Higher Certificate:

  • A National Certificate (Vocational) Level 4 with at least 50% in English.

For Diploma: Dut 2024-2025

A National Certificate (Vocational) Level 4 with the following minimum requirements:

  • At least 50% in three fundamental subjects including, English; and
  • At least 60% in three compulsory vocational

For Bachelor’s Degree:

A National Certificate (Vocational) Level 4 with the following minimum requirements:

  • At least 60% in three fundamental subjects, including English; and
  • At least 70% in four compulsory vocational subjects, chosen from the National Certificate (Vocational) Level 4

Over and above the minimum entrance requirements, each department also sets specific entrance requirements with which applicants need to comply.

  • International applicants are required to check the International Brochure for detailed information on the admission process.
  • Apply online at the Central Applications Office (CAO). (A prospective student who wishes to study at DUT must apply via the CAO by visiting their website at www.cao.ac.za)

 

Dut 2024-2025 Online Application Process

  • Please complete the CAO application forms
  • Attach certified copies of your identity document and Grade 12 certificate (June/ Trial report if you have not written your final examination).
  • The application form must reach the CAO office before the closing date of 30 September 2023 for Diploma & Degree programmes and 30 November 2024 for Higher Certificate programmes.
  • Please refer to specific programmes for relevant closing dates, as some programmes close earlier than 30 September 2024.
  • Include the appropriate application fee of R245 (SA Citizens) / R300 (International applicants) when submitting your application form.
  • Make sure that your application AND fee reach the CAO before the closing date.
