This registration is done a few weeks after the application period to register for their classes and selected courses/programmes. Mangosuthu University of Technology (MUT) provides an online registration procedure for both new and returning students, making it a quick and easy option to enrol in academic programs, therefore, qualified and selected applicants are contacted through either SMS or email to register.

MUT intends to streamline the registration process for its students by establishing an online registration system, allowing them to finish the procedure at their speed and from any place with an internet connection. The university expects that by reducing the time and effort necessary to register for courses and programs, students will be able to focus on their studies and achieve their academic goals. MUT has made it simple for students to register online and join the ranks of successful graduates by providing a user-friendly online platform and clear criteria.

Online Registration Date At MUT 2025-2026

The MUT registration portal for the 2025-2026 academic year will open from January 22 through February 2. Therefore successful applicants are urged to register for their courses and programs during this period to secure their spaces at the university for the 2025-2026 academic year.

MUT Online Registration Procedure 2025

Additionally, the SMS will include a link to a document detailing the payment, registration, and residence application process. However, the registration process is done online on the official website of the institution. To register, follow the steps below;

• Go to www.mut.ac.za
• Click on the student portal
•  Click on STUDENT IENABLER
• Click on Student
• Enter your Student number on student number field
• Enter the pin you are currently using or the default pin (46579) if you have not changed it.
• Click on Login button
• Once you have logged on, click on Registration on the left-hand side of the screen
•  Click on RULES AND REGULATIONS
• Scroll down and click on the I Accept button
• Click on Submit Registration on the left-hand side of the screen
• Click on Your Employment Status and select the UNEMPLOYED option
• Click on Save and Continue
• The list of subjects you are eligible to register for will appear. Select all the subjects by clicking on the checkboxes next to each subject.
• Click on the save and continue button
• Click on the Continue button 2
• Click on the Accept Registration button. Registration is now complete.
• Once you have completed registration you must click on Proof of registration which is on the left-hand side of the screen.
• You can print your registration status.
• Activation of your student card is done on campus.

Note: All steps must be must be completed before you are fully registered as an MUT student.
