At the beginning of the academic year, you can only register once a year (January).

Online registration dates and amendment period for 2024-2025
- Commencement of online registration for first-year students: 23 January.
- Commencement of online registration for senior students: 30 January.
- Closing date for online registration for first-year and senior students: 17 February
Module and qualification adjustments are permitted during the first semester amendment period, which runs from 13 February to 3 March. Module changes can be done via the Adds&Drops DIY app (module change forms only need to be completed and submitted where amendments can’t be requested via the app). Please note that you must be a registered student for 2023 to be able to use the Adds&Drops DIY app. Forms for qualification changes need to be completed and submitted to the faculties for consideration.
Contact classes commence on 20 February.
All students are wished a successful academic year in 2024 by the Registrar’s Office and associates in the Student Academic Life Cycle Administration.

Self-Registration
A new online self-registration process has been implemented. To successfully register, follow the steps. The Grade R, ACT (Foundation and Intermediate Phases), and ADE (Special Needs) programs do not apply to seniors or returning students.
- Document Preparation and Student Access: You are given the details regarding the paperwork and access you will need to self-register at this stage.
- Curriculum Control and Module Selection: At this stage, program-specific details will be given to you so that you can successfully choose your courses during self-registration.

Fees and Payments:
- Your registration will not be final if you have not paid the minimum registration fee and your registration will be provisional. All provisional registrations will be canceled on
24 February
- The minimum fee required for registration is approximately R11 290.
- Deadline for payment of minimum registration amount:
23 February
- NSFAS applicants must register during the registration period, even if they have not yet received feedback/payment from NSFAS.
- International students (Namibia included): full program fees to be paid or debit order arrangement to be made with the Finance department before registration can be performed.
