The NWU prospectus serves to outline or describe the activities that are being conducted at the institution. Prospective NWU students have access to information about the university’s programs in each discipline. All prospectus students can use this brochure to learn how to begin and excel at the university. The Prospectus also includes a list of courses, admission requirements, and instructions for submitting an admission application to North-West University.

North-West University Application Requirements

Undergraduate students

In order to consider your application, please upload the following supporting documents. If the application is incomplete, it may be declined by the University:

Grade 12 results, grade 11 results (final results only) or a copy of your matric certificate – if you have already passed matric.
Applicants who are currently upgrading their grade 12 results, will only be considered after the improved results are presented to the NWU.
Applicants who follow Cambridge, GED or any other non-NSC curriculum, or who may qualify for exemption based on advanced age or post-school qualifications, must provide an exemption certificate as issued by USAF.
Completed undertaking
Copy of your ID
Copy of your academic record (if applicable).
Additional documents for international prospective students:

How To Apply For North West Online Application

The application process for North-West University (NWU) varies depending on whether you are a South African citizen or an international applicant.

For South African citizens:

Go to the NWU website: https://www.nwu.ac.za/
Click on the “Study@NWU” button on the homepage.
Select the appropriate level of study, such as undergraduate or postgraduate.
Click on the “Applications” button.
Click on the “Apply” button.
Create an account or log in if you already have one.
Fill in the online application form.
Upload the required supporting documents, such as your ID document or passport, academic transcripts, and proof of payment of the application fee.
Submit your application.
