Registration and Application Requirements Needed To Apply For Rhodes University

Please bring the following items with you to make registration as simple as possible:

• Your student number.
• A copy of your official school results.
• Evidence that your Registration Fee has been cleared (see “Fees” ).
• A copy of the deposit slip, if you have deposited money into the University account.
• If you have been awarded a bursary, a copy of your letter of the award should have been faxed through to the Fees Office.
• School leavers: Your final NSC/ A level / IGCSE results.
• Transferring students: Your transcript from your previous university and course outlines.
• International students:
• Proof of Initial Fee (IF) clearance by no later than 21 January 2024.
• Passport with a valid study visa to study specifically at Rhodes University.
• A medical aid membership certificate, which can be verified by Consultants, Simeka Health (Pty) Ltd
• If your A-level or IGCSE results are not yet available by the time of registration, you will NOT be allowed to register until your results are available. If you have pre-registered – your pre-registration confirmation number

Apply To Rhodes University online

• Register on the online system at https://ross.ru.ac.za/ using your email address and creating a password
• You will then be sent an email with a link to activate you on the system.
• Click the link to activate your registration.
• This process will take you back to ROSS where you need to click the Admission/Other buttons (clicking the right button here is important)
• You will then be allowed to enter your login and password created in step one.
• Once you have completed your application you need to tick the button accepting the terms and conditions and submit.
• When you have submitted you are required to pay the R100 application fee. Various options are provided by the system.
• If you pay your application fee to the bank you need to use your application number as the reference and email the deposit slip to them.
• Once you have completed the process above we will process the application and you are provided with a student number and login.
