North West
North-West University (NWU) is a university located in South Africa, with three campuses situated in the North West and Gauteng provinces. The university was established on 1 January 2004 through the merger of two universities, namely the University of North-West and the Potchefstroom University for Christian Higher Education. The university offers a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate programs in various fields, including agriculture, commerce, education, engineering, health sciences, law, humanities, natural sciences, and theology. The NWU is committed to functioning as a unitary, integrated, multi-campus university that enables equity, redress and globally competitive teaching and research across all three of our campuses. Our core activities, teaching-learning and research, are intertwined with community engagement and innovation in our eight faculties, most of which serve both distance and contact students.
Through collaboration with other universities and institutions internationally, NWU is part of the global higher education community and its internationalisation activities include student and staff exchange and cooperation in academic, research, cultural and sports matters. The University is made up of the following campuses;
