Accommodation close to sun city, Accommodation Near SU accommodates almost 6500 learners in 31 university residences. Each SU room has a network point for students to connect their computers to the University’s network, electronic information resources, the Internet, and web-based e-learning tools. All SU facilities have Laundry facilities, It also has a common “living room” area for students to socialize, watch TV and “hang out”, All the women’s residences, and some of the men’s, also have a communal and/or private lounge area where visitors can be received and entertained.
Most of the residences boast lovely courtyards and/or gardens for play and relaxation. A Residential Head is in charge of keeping an eye on the students housed in any of these dormitories. A house committee additionally provides assistance to the residential head. Additionally, there are mentors in each residence. In order to help incoming students adjust to university life, senior students are appointed as mentors in dorms and Private Student Organizations (students who live privately). A mentor should be available to every new student.
With general aid for questions about university life and psychosocial support, the mentor already plays a significant role during the introductory phase.
