Central University’s online application portal opens annually to receive New students and continuing students who wish to have their educational experience at CUT. The online application portal is open to all interested students of South Africa and other countries, provided they meet the entry requirements. Prospective students must ensure that meet all the entry requirements provided by the institution before they proceed to apply.
CUT online application requires no application fee and the Application takes about 20 minutes. Interested applicants must ensure that they have certified copies of all supportive documents uploaded. Cut online application takes about 6 – 10 weeks for feedback, applicants can track the status of their application after this period on the application status check portal of CUT.

Online Application Date at Central University of Technology 2025-2026
The online application portal will open on 13 May 2024 until September 30, 2024. All applications must be submitted before the closing date as late applications may not be considered for the 2025-2026 academic year.
Central University of Technology Online Admission Requirements
- Admission Points (AP) (minimum 27, matric pass level explained) | Selection test | TVET(FET) Students | Extended Curriculum Programme (ECP) | Recognition of Prior Learning
- The National Benchmark Test (NBT) is mandatory for all first-year applicants to higher education institutions.
- The test must be written before you can register to study at CUT.

Required Documents To Apply Online At CUT 2025-2026
- Current Matriculants: Upload final Grade 11 results or Grade 12 June results.
- Already Matriculated applicants: you will have to upload your certified ID and Senior Certificate.
- Higher Qualifications than Matric: you will have to upload your certified ID, Senior Certificate, your qualification(s) and study record.
- Postgraduate Applicants: Visit the Head of the Department / Assistant Deans, Research Innovation and Engagement to discuss a research project for Master or Doctorate study before applying online.
