NWU Logo
NWU Logo; Nwu logo black and white
NWU Logo: The three interlocking links in the chain represent the University’s togetherness and graphically convey its resolution and spirit of teamwork. The three colours represent the diversity of the three campuses as well as the NWU’s use of a range of academic programs and institutional resources to advance the advancement of human interactions and the human condition.
The North West University logo should only be used on a white background or reversed in white on a purple background. The black logo can be used on white backgrounds. This logo should not be used on any other colour backgrounds. The black logo is used in instances such as memos, agendas and minutes etc. Nwu logo black and white

An explanation of how to use the several NWU logos may be found below.
- Formal logo: The entire name provides extra information and is only used when a more formal approach is required. Certificates of completion, contracts, etc.
- Acronym logo: This rendition serves as the main NWU logo and the basis for all corporate communications. With a range of sizes for both print and digital communication, it is clearly recognizable.
- Stacked logo: In a few cases where the final size is either too little or too huge, this form of the logo is utilized. For instance, formal and sportswear.
- Exclusion zone: The NWU logo should always be shown with space surrounding it to ensure optimal visibility, legibility, and integrity.
This exclusion zone makes sure that there is a specific amount of space between all graphic or text elements and the logo. The NWU logo must always have a free space of at least 1 X, where X is the width of the intersection of the three links, on all four sides. This exclusion zone must be used for all officially recognized logos and acronyms. Nwu PowerPoint template download

Design element:
The unitary links in the university emblem and the turquoise triangles used in the NWU design elements combine to form a distinctive African pattern.
The purpose of this symbolism is to highlight the role that the NWU brand plays on the African continent and to speak to the dream of becoming “an internationally recognized institution in Africa, distinguished for engaged research, social responsiveness, and an ethic of care.”
It is not required to utilize the design element as a line between design and information, and there is no defined position for its use. Nwu PowerPoint template download
