NWU First-year Students Application and Registration Dates

• Commencement of online registration for first-year students: 23 January.
• Commencement of online registration for senior students: 30 January.
• Closing date for online registration for first-year and senior students: 17 February
• The first semester amendment period for module and qualification changes will be available from 13 February to 3 March.

Documents Required to Apply Online For NWU 2025-2026

To apply online for North-West University for the 2025-2026 academic year, the following documents are required;

• A valid, unique, and personal email address.
• You will need to register with this email address before you can apply. Your email address will also be used as your username and will be used to log in to your application profile after you have registered.
• You will also receive a temporary password at first and after you have changed it, you will always use your email address and new password to log onto your application profile.

NB:

• Keep your ID document and final Grade 11 or 12 results handy in digital format.
• The documents must be individually scanned as they are uploaded separately. Preferably available as PDF, jpeg, etc.
• Because of limitations in capacity and selection procedures, applications are handled in the order they are received, meaning that closing dates for applications may be adjusted accordingly.

How To Apply Online For NWU 2025-2026

Follow the steps below to apply online for the 2025-2026 academic year at North-West University;

• Apply online at: https://vssweb.nwu.ac.za/aaa-webclient/UnsecuredLearnerEnquiriesWin.do#/top
• The application is submitted online and on the NWU system.
  Administration staff check that all necessary documentation is attached and Notify student if there are documents outstanding.
• Application is evaluated according to the admission requirements of the Step 4 programme for which the student applied.
• Application status is changed accordingly on the system based on the Step 5 outcome of the evaluation process.
• Student is notified of the status change. You can view the meaning of Step 6 each status at https://fal.cn/3aAea.
