University of Cape Town (UCT) is a state research university located in Cape Town in the Western Cape region of South Africa. The University was established in 1829 as the South African College which makes it the oldest University institute in South Africa. The University offers diploma, undergraduate and postgraduate programs; Commerce, Engineering & the Built Environment, Health Sciences, Humanities, Law, and Science.
There are more than 100 student societies active on campus, including academic, faith, national, cultural, political and special interest societies. Students can also choose from almost 40 sporting codes, which include a variety of disciplines from fencing and jiu-jitsu to hockey, rugby and rowing.
The UCT Shuttle service, UCT’s free transport system, makes almost 200 000 trips each year, transporting students and staff to and from the university’s campuses. UCT Libraries is a repository of approximately 1.2 million print volumes, which are kept on 53 km of shelves.

- Applicant must obtain grade 12

- Proof of the payment receipt of your application fee. This fee is not refundable.
- A unique email address when applying either online or in a hard copy.

- First-time UCT applicants
- UCT students changing to a new qualification and/or specialization
- Applicants who previously applied for admission and were not offered a space or who were offered a space accepted the offer and did not register
- students completing a higher certificate or any other programme and who wish to continue with further undergraduate studies
