UFH Registration Dates for 2025/2026

The management of the Forth Hare, (UFH) has opened the student registration portal for fresh and continuing students to register for their courses for the semester both at the diploma, undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Specific dates and deadlines have been set for the registration as well as the closure of the registration portal. It is advisable to register early in order not to lose your studentship at UFH as late registration would not be permitted.

UFH Registration Dates for 2025/2026

At the University of Fort Hare, both semesters are registered during the Jan/Feb registration cycle. Please note that once this registration cycle is closed, you cannot register later in the year. That is why all students need to check and verify that their qualification and module details have been captured accurately in the “Proof of Registration Form” available on each student’s IENABLER( student portal).

Registration ends for Undergraduate, Honours, Postgraduate Diplomas and Masters by Coursework on November 30.

University of Fort Hare (UFH) Registration Fee 2025/2026

All students need to use their student number as the reference number when effecting payment via the Internet or making direct deposits. Payment of R120 is required to register.

Entry Requirements For UFH

To be eligible for admission to undergraduate, and postgraduate study, applicants need to meet minimum requirements for eligibility:

Undergraduate Programs

Applicants holding a South African National Senior Certificate (NSC) need to pass a minimum of 4 subjects at a rating of 4 (Adequate Achievement, 50-59%) or better in any four 20-credit NSC subjects.
Applicants holding a South African Senior Certificate need matriculation endorsement.
Declaration by Parent/Guardian for Minor Applicants must accompany all applications by prospective students under the age of 18.

Postgraduate Programs

The admission requirements for postgraduate study vary from one programme to another.

International students Undergraduates

Applicants holding non-South African school-leaving certificates must qualify for a matriculation exemption certificate.
Declaration by Parent/Guardian for Minor Applicants must accompany all applications by learners under the age of 18.

International students Postgraduates

All applicants with non-South African qualifications are required to have their qualifications evaluated by the South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA).

The University of Fort Hare (UFH) Online Registration process for 2025 has been given. It is very simple, easy and accurate. You don’t need to be afraid when you make any mistake. You will be prompted by the system to make changes to any mistake you have made. Follow the steps to register online at UFH for 2025

Go to https://www.ufh.ac.za/registration
Select “Rules and Regulations” on the left
Read the document and take note of the contents thereof
Select “Submit Registration” on the left
Click on the “I accept” button at the bottom of the page
Select your “Employment Status” in the drop-down list
Click on the “Save and Continue” “Save – Continue later” or “Restart Process” button
Select your subjects, by ticking the box next to each subject. Make sure that you select all compulsory subjects
Choose a balance of courses from the list of electives
Click on the “Save and Continue” button
Click on the “Print Cost Details” button if you want to print the Registration Costs
Click on the “Accept Registration” button to continue with the registration process
Congratulations! You have completed your registration as a bona fide student of the University of Fort Hare.
