University of Fort Hare Online Application (UFH) 2024-2025 online application is open for applications from both local and international students. The application portal Closing date for International Applicants is 31 August 2023, whilst local Applicants’ closing date is 31st October 2023. Interested students are urged to send their applications before the closing date to avoid their applications being rejected.
The University of Fort Hare is a South African public university located in Alice, Eastern Cape. From 1916 to 1959, it was an important institution of higher education for Africans, providing a Western-style academic education to students from all throughout Sub-Saharan Africa, resulting in the formation of an African elite. University of Fort Hare’s main campus is located in Alice near the Tyhume River, the University was established in 1916. The university’s vision is to be a unique African university that advances excellence and innovation in research, teaching, learning, administration, and social engagement, with a mission to provide high-quality education and conduct innovative research in niche areas that contribute to the advancement of socially and contextually relevant knowledge, with a focus on the use of digital technologies.

University of Fort Hare Admission Requirements;
A complete application, submitted entirely online, MUST include the following materials:
- Proof of payment receipt of your application fee
- A Certified copy of your Identity Document
- Exam Results: Final Grade 12 results (if available). Grade 11 results (if you currently doing grade 12) are very important for your application. Thus, have it on hand.
- A unique email address when applying either online or in a hard copy.
- Successful candidates will receive an SMS and an admission letter, together with a registration guide, which reflects the registration dates and orientation programs.

A non-refundable application fee of R 80.00 is payable by all applicants (for online applications).
UNDERGRADUATE REGISTRATION

Postgraduate Registration
Due to the extensive process of their selection and the late registration deadline provided to them, master’s and PhD students may register until March 31, 2024.
Important Notice:
Due to space availability and the university’s discretion on enrollment quotas, Online Registration for quotas that are filled may close earlier than this date. Because this is a very competitive field, it is critical that applicants complete the registration process as soon as possible.
