Rhodes University online application portal is open for applications from Undergraduate, Postgraduate and all other qualifications. The application window is open for all high school graduates of South Africa and other International countries, who meet the entry requirements of the institution.
Rhodes is a small university with little over 8200 students that boasts among South Africa’s top undergraduate pass and graduation rates, remarkable postgraduate success rates, and the best research output per academic staff member. Registration And application Requirements Needed To Apply For Rhodes University
Please bring the following items with you to make registration as simple as possible:
- Your student number.
- A copy of your official school results.
- Evidence that your Registration Fee has been cleared (see “Fees” ).
- A copy of the deposit slip, if you have deposited money into the University account.
- If you have been awarded a bursary, a copy of your letter of the award should have been faxed through to the Fees Office.
- School leavers: Your final NSC/ A level / IGCSE results.
- Transferring students: Your transcript from your previous university and course outlines.
- International students:
- Proof of Initial Fee (IF) clearance by no later than 21 January 2024.
- Passport with a valid study visa to study specifically at Rhodes University.
- A medical aid membership certificate, which can be verified by Consultants, Simeka Health (Pty) Ltd
- If your A-level or IGCSE results are not yet available by the time of registration, you will NOT be allowed to register until your results are available. If you have pre-registered – your pre-registration confirmation number

Apply online visit: https://ross.ru.ac.za
- Register on the online system at https://ross.ru.ac.za/ using your email address and creating a password
- You will then be sent an email with a link to activate you on the system.
- Click the link to activate your registration.
- This process will take you back to ROSS where you need to click the Admission/Other buttons (clicking the right button here is important)
- You will then be allowed to enter your login and password created in step one.
- Once you have completed your application you need to tick the button accepting the terms and conditions and submit.
- When you have submitted you are required to pay the R100 application fee. Various options are provided by the system.
- If you pay your application fee to the bank you need to use your application number as the reference and email the deposit slip to us.
- Once you have completed the process above we will process the application and you are provided with a student number and login.

Rhodes University Tuition Fees (estimate)
- R32 120 to R55 770 (this varies from degree to degree)
- Allow approximately R6 050 for books and stationery.
- Note: that these fees shown do NOT include travel expenses or pocket money.
