How to Check Your NWU Application Status

Follow the steps below to check the application status of your NWU application;

• Go to – https://vssweb.nwu.ac.za/aaa-webclient/Student
• You will be redirected to a new page
• provide your credentials such as Student Number and PIN, in the Provided  spaces
• Congratulations if you’re given admission, if not try again the next academic year

NWU Application Status Meaning

Below are some application statuses and terms to describe the state of your application to NWU;

• Unsuccessful: Your application has not been approved because you do not meet the admission and selection criteria for admission into the programme.
• Accepted: Your application has been approved. Please wait for further instructions, via SMS and Email regarding the registration process/
• Subject to Faculty: A final decision regarding your application will be made by the relevant faculty, based on your academic results at the end of the year.
• Subject to GR 12: Pending submission of the final Grade 12 results. Admission is subject to meeting the admission and selection criteria of the programme as well as capacity restraints.
• Subject to Selection: International Students (All international students who require a permit) OR Students who are required to submit a valid exemption certificate as issued through the matriculation board. Final admission is subject to the submission of these documents as well as capacity restraints.
• Pending (Documents O/S): The required documents to evaluate and process the application are outstanding. The application will be re-evaluated once the required documents have been uploaded. Please note that this is subject to capacity restraints.
• Waiting List Due to reasons about capacity restraints your application has been placed on a waiting list. Should capacity allow, your application may be reconsidered during the official registration period.
• Waiting for Approval Your application to the NWU has been received and is currently being evaluated according to the admission and selection requirements Please note, that the minimum processing time is 6-8 weeks.
