NWU Registrations 2025-2026

The NWU Registration is an important process that all prospective NWU students must complete before starting their studies. The registration process typically takes place before the start of each academic year or semester.

NWU  registration process must be done online on the official website of the institution. The NWU registration is designed to ensure that students are fully prepared for academic life at NWU and are equipped with all the necessary tools and resources to succeed in their studies.

NWU Registrations Dates 2025-2026

The Online registration of full-time first-year students opens on 22 January. It closes on 8 March while the Online registration of distance and full-time senior and returning students from 29 January to 8 March.

Prospective students or newly admitted students are urged to register for their courses and modules during the registration period to secure their spaces in the institution as students before the academic year commences.

NWU Registrations Process 2025-2026

The NWU online registration procedure is done online on the official website of the institution during the registration period. To register follow the steps provided below;

• Start here to register: http://studies.nwu.ac.za/studies/registrations
• Select “Registration”
• Log in by entering your student number and PIN First years will receive an SMS regarding their PIN
• Click on ‘Create PIN” Click here to Create a PIN
• Log in with your student number and PIN to register
• Select “Registration”
• On the registration homepage, Select “Self-registration”
• Select all modules for the current curriculum.
• Read the Agreement and “Accept” to proceed with your registration.
• Proof of Registration will be sent to the e-mail address that you have provided.
• Sign off. You are now a registered student of the North West University.

NB: Please note that you will only receive proof of registration if your finances are in order. If your minimum registration fees are not paid yet, your registration will only be conditional.

All students before registering must ensure that they have the following;

• Student Pin
• E-mail addresses
• Academic Record
• Exam Centre
• Please ensure that you select the correct centre when registering.
