How long is a short course at UCT?

The UCT Teaching With Technology online short course helps you discover how to integrate technology into your classroom over eight weeks.

UCT online application will be open from April 2nd through July 31 each year for interested students who wish to study at the University. Applications received after this date will not be considered.
UCT Application Fee
The application fee is normally R100. Your initial payment is due in early February (or at registration if earlier).

University of Cape Town (UCT) Admission Requirements 2025

The following documents are required to apply online for short courses at UCT;

  • Applicant must obtain grade 12
  • A valid copy of your Identity Document
  • Proof of the payment receipt of your application fee. This fee is not refundable.
  • A unique email address when applying either online or in a hard copy.

How To Apply Online For The University Of Cape Town 2024-2025

You can fill out an application online. To apply online you will need a working email address and your South African identity number, or, if you are an international applicant, your passport number:

  • Go to https://applyonline.uct.ac.za/

This UCT online application window is open for;

  • First-time UCT applicants
  • UCT students changing to a new qualification and/or specialization
  • Applicants who previously applied for admission and were not offered a space or who were offered a space accepted the offer and did not register
  • students completing a higher certificate or any other programme and who wish to continue with further undergraduate studies
