All prospective applicants are welcomed to Stellenbosch University’s online application platform. If you are willing to apply to Stellenbosch University for 2025, you must take note that undergraduate applications, including those for residences, open on Monday, April 1 2024, and close on Wednesday, July 31 2024, while postgraduate applications for the Stellenbosch and Tygerberg campuses also open on April 1 and applications for the Stellenbosch Business School programs open on Wednesday, May 1 2024.

As a result, all prospective applicants who desire to study at Stellenbosch University SU in 2025 must apply online at the official website of the university. Online applications are opened in March every year, but application deadlines differ depending on the program you registered for.

A complete application, submitted entirely online, MUST include the following materials:

• Proof of payment receipt of your application fee (This is a non-refundable compulsory fee for every applicant)
• A Certified copy of your ID document(ID document is compulsory for South African citizens – your application cannot be processed without a certified copy of your ID and Passport Number for International Applicants)
• Exam Results: Final Grade 12 results (if available). Grade 11 results (if you currently doing grade 12) are very important for your application. Thus, have it on hand.
• A unique email address when applying either online or in a hard copy. Note that some of the systems do not accept emails from some of the universities: It is advisable to create and use a Gmail, or Yahoo email address for the application.

How Do You Assess International Qualifications

• ​Final school results from International​ Curriculum (Cambridge International, International Baccalaureate, etc.), including School of Tomorrow.

• South African citizens Applying must pay a non-refundable R100.
• International students are exempt from paying application fees.

Remember this fee needs to be paid before the application closing date of 30 September for postgraduate application. A late application fee will attract a fee of R200. for South African applicants.
