The online application for 2024/2025 has been open to all prospective students from far and near to apply to Sol Plaatjie University. Applications for postgraduate programs in 2024 have been extended to 31 March 2024. All Applicants Applying must pay a non-refundable R100. for a timeout application fee. International applicants must pay a non-refundable fee of R100. as well. Remember the fee needs to be paid before the closing date for the application date 31 October. Applications must be submitted before the deadline to avoid a late application fee of R200.

• Proof of payment receipt of your application fee (This is a non-refundable compulsory fee for every applicant)
• A Certified copy of your ID document(ID document is compulsory for South African citizens – your application cannot be processed without a certified copy of your ID and Passport Number for International Applicants)
• Exam Results: Final Grade 12 results (if available). Grade 11 results (if you currently doing grade 12) are very important for your application. Thus, have it on hand.
• A unique email address when applying either online or in a hard copy. Note that some of the systems do not accept emails from some of the universities: It is advisable to create and use a Gmail, Yahoo email address for the application.

The University has released the minimum academic requirements for admission to Sol Plaatje University’s (SPU) study programmes in 2024/2025.

• The requirements are based on the results that applicants achieve in the South African National Senior Certificate (NSC) examinations.
• Applicants who hold certificates from a different examination system will be considered individually for admission.
• The final decision on your admission will be based on your academic performance and the availability of space in the programme.
• The better your academic performance above this minimum, the better your chance of being admitted to study at SPU in 2024/2025.
