The University of Cape Town Application form has been released and it is available online via the official website of the institution. The application form is an essential application tool that prospective applicants must complete to apply for admission at the institution. The UCT Application form requires students to provide personal information, such as their name, contact information, and identification details.

UCT Online Application Opening Date 2025-2026

The admission cycle for the 2025-2026 academic year opens on 2 April 2024 and will close on 31 July 2024, Applications for undergraduate and postgraduate qualifications must be submitted before the closing date, based on the fact that late applications will not be considered.

University Of Cape Town Online Application Fee 2025-2026

An application fee is required for every application for the 2025-2026 academic year. To apply, the following fee is required based on the qualification you fall under;

  • Undergraduate and postgraduate applications from South Africa and the Southern African Development Community (SADC) region: R100
  • Undergraduate and postgraduate applications from outside the SADC region: R300
  • Graduate School of Business (GSB) applications from South Africa and African citizens/residents: R1 000
  • GSB applications from outside of Africa: USD 100

Online Application Requirements At University of Cape Town 2025-2026

To apply online at UCT, the following are required;

  • Current learners at school must make sure that all examination results from Grade 11 until September of grade 12 are submitted.
  • Transferring students should submit all transcripts and academic records as early as possible.

NB: Documents must be submitted as certified electronic copies to admissions@uct.ac.za. Please do not send your submissions to any other email address/es as this will only delay the processing of your application.

Follow the steps below to apply online at UCT for the 2025-2026 academic year;

  • Visit http://applyonline.uct.ac.za/ to begin your application before the deadline date.
  • If you’re a first-time visitor to the UCT online admissions website, you will need to create a new account.
  • Complete the online application form with;
  • Personal details – you will need to upload a copy of your South African ID or passport.
  • Programme of study – at this stage you will need supporting documentation such as a CV, non-UCT transcript, motivation for your choice of study, and proof of English proficiency if required.

  • Submit – once the application is submitted, it cannot be changed online.
