MUT 2025-2026: Enhancing Learning, Driving Research, and Community Engagement:

The online application portal for MUT’s 2025-2026 academic year is now open for qualified students. Interested applicants should visit MUT’s official website to download, complete, and submit the application form with all required supporting documents by the deadline. Applications for 2025 open in January and close on September 30, with late applications accepted until November 30, 2024.

All first-year applications must be submitted online through the Central Applications Office (CAO) at www.cao.ac.za. This process allows applicants to apply for multiple programs with a single form and pay one application fee.

  • 03 January 2024 – Thursday, 14 April 2024
Second Term
  •  25 April 2024 – Friday, 15 July 2024
SEMESTER 2:
Third Term
  •  25 July 2024 – Friday, 16 September 2024
Fourth Term
  • 26 September 2024 – December 2024
  • Closure of University: 23 December 2024
MUT Online Application Closing Date For 2025-2026
Applications for admission into the academic year 2025 should be submitted before the below deadlines:
  • Faculty of Engineering – first semester applications – 30 September 2024
  • Faculty of Engineering – second-semester applications – 31 May 2024
  • Faculty of Natural Sciences – 30 September 2024
  • Analytical Chemistry – second-semester applications – 31 May 2024
  • Faculty of Management Sciences – 30 September 2024

Applications submitted after 30 September accumulate a late application fee determined by the CAO.

MUT Online Application Requirements For 2025-2026

Applicants are to meet the following requirements:

  • SGCE, GCE, GCSE, IGCSE, HIGCSE, Cambridge School certificate
  • A-Level passes must be A, B, C, D, or E
  • AS-Level passes must be A, B, C, or D
  • O-Level passes must be A, B, or C
  • IGCSE passes must be A, B, or C
  • HIGCSE passes must be 1, 2, or 3

MUT Online Application Documents Needed For 2025-2026

The following are the documents to be uploaded when applying for admission to MUT for the academic year 2025-2026:

South African Applicants:

  • Grade 11 final results, grade 12 June exam results, National Senior Certificate or Statement of Results
  • Identity Document or ID card
  • Students transferring from other universities should submit an academic record and a certificate of conduct.

Non-South African applicants:

  • A valid passport
  • A valid medical insurance cover
  • Police clearance certificate
  • SGCE, GCE, GCSE, IGCSE or Cambridge School Certificate

MUT 2025-2026 Application Acceptance Fee

  • Acceptance fee
An acceptance fee of R500 is charged for each application. This fee is non-refundable and forms part of the deposit once the registration is successful.
