CUT offers a wide range of qualifications in its four faculties, namely Faculty of Engineering, Built Environment and Information Technology, Faculty of Health and Environmental Sciences, Faculty of Management Sciences, and Faculty of Humanities. The university recognizes that not everyone can study full-time at the main campus. That’s why certain academic programs are available at CUT’s Welkom Campus. Also, with the use of modern technology, some programs can be accessed online via online, offering more flexibility for students.

Before applying to study at CUT for 2025, applicants must ensure they meet the admission requirements. This includes achieving a minimum Admission Points (AP) score of 27, passing a selection test, and for TVET (FET) students, meeting additional criteria. The Extended Curriculum Programme (ECP) and Recognition of Prior Learning are also pathways for admission.

Additionally, applicants should not forget to take the National Benchmark Test (NBT), which is required for all first-year applicants to higher education institutions. You must complete the NBT before you can register to study at CUT.

Grade 11 results for the current Grade 12 Learners
AN authorized Academic record/transcript with a certificate of Conduct if you have earlier on studied at another institution.
Your SAQA evaluation Certificate for Non-South African qualifications if applicable.
A valid copy of your Identity Document
