Online Application Guide For DUT Admissions 2025/2026:

DUT, a member of the International Association of Universities, is a multi-campus university of technology at the forefront of higher education, technological training, research, and innovation. The University currently acceptions for admission into the academic year 2025-2026. Applicants are to visit the online application website of the university to download the forms for admission and fill them out by providing the required documents to authenticate their application.

All applications must be submitted using the application online application form which is available on the website of the institution, together with a non-refundable application fee of $150. The early bird deadline is February 22; the late deadline is April 25, 2024. The application portal is open to all students if only they meet the entry requirements laid down. Interested applicants must ensure that they submit an early application to avoid all the late application fees and stress.

Durban University of Technology (DUT), was established in 2002 as a merger between Technikon Natal and ML Sultan Technikon.  This Institution is located in Kwa-Zulu Natal. It has four campuses in Durban and two in Pietermaritzburg. All applications must be submitted via the application forms (available from the International School Office or downloaded from the website: www.dut.ac.za) and must include a non-refundable application fee. Online Application Requirements To Dut 2025/2026

The following are the entry requirements needed  to apply for admission to DUT 2025:

For Higher Certificate programmes:

• a National Senior Certificate (NSC) as certified by the Council for General and Further Education and Training (Umalusi), with a minimum achievement rating of 3 for English.

For Diploma programmes:

• a National Senior Certificate (NSC) as certified by the Council for General and Further Education and Training (Umalusi), with a minimum of achievement rating of 3 for English and a minimum achievement rating of 3 in four recognised NSC 20-credit subjects.

For Bachelor’s Degree programmes:

• a National Senior Certificate (NSC) as certified by the Council for General and Further Education and Training (Umalusi), with a minimum achievement rating of 3 for English and a minimum achievement rating of 4 in four NSC 20-credit subjects chosen from the NSC designated subject list.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS FOR ADMISSION FOR NCV LEVEL 4 APPLICANTS:

For Higher Certificate:

• A National Certificate (Vocational) Level 4 with at least 50% in English.

For Diploma:

A National Certificate (Vocational) Level 4 with the following minimum requirements:

• At least 50% in three fundamental subjects including, English; and
• At least 60% in three compulsory vocational

For Bachelor’s Degree:

A National Certificate (Vocational) Level 4 with the following minimum requirements:

• At least 60% in three fundamental subjects, including English; and
• At least 70% in four compulsory vocational subjects, chosen from the National Certificate (Vocational) Level 4

Before you apply to DUT you should have the following;

• Exаm Rеѕultѕ:Fіnаl Grade 12 results (іf аvаіlаblе). Grаdе 11 rеѕultѕ (іf сurrеntlу dоіng grаdе 12) аrе vеrу іmроrtаnt fоr уоur аррlісаtіоn. Thuѕ, hаvе іt оn hаnd.

Online Application Fee To Dut 2025/2026

• To secure a spot, a deposit of US $150 is required after admission, payable by February 22 for early applications or April 25 for late applications.

Details on the full cost of the program, along with important dates, can be found on the International School website at www.dut.ac.za. The fee includes accommodation, instruction, course materials, travel arrangements for tours, and a visit to a game park. Any other expenses must be covered by the students.

Online Application Procedure to Dut 2025/2026

Applicants must complete the following steps to apply online for DUT in 2024:

• Visit the Central Applications Office (CAO) website: www.co.ac.za
• To apply for a CAO, go to the CAO’s website and fill out the application
• Upload certified copies of your identification documents as well as your final grade 11 and grade 12 certificates (June/Trial report if you have not yet completed your final examination).
• Before the deadline of September 30, 2024, the application form must reach the CAO office.
  Please refer to specific programs for pertinent termination dates as some programs conclude earlier than September 30, 2024.
• Before submitting your application, you must pay the R250 application cost for SA citizens and R300 for international applicants.
