This e-learning platform can also be used by lecturers at CPUT to upload their courses and course materials as well as to post important communications and events. Attention All Staff and Students
There’s a possibility that you might experience problems with logging into Blackboard the normal/default way on 15 October 2024. The normal way of logging in makes use of a system called LDAP, which might not be functioning properly from that day onwards.
During this time please make use of the Sign in with a third-party account option.
The Sign in with a third-party account option allows users an alternative/additional way to access Blackboard, by authenticating against their Office 365 account which is active in the cloud and will allow access when CPUT systems are inactive or unavailable. You will also have the option to change your password in the cloud through your Microsoft Office 365 account using their web-based interface, eliminating the need to contact the CTS Service desk to change your password.
Please click here: Office 365 Authentication.pdf for instructions on how to log in with your Office 365 account.
Please click here: Third-party Sign-on Errors.pdf if you experience any problems with signing in with the third-party account.
If you have any assessments due next week, please make sure ahead of time, that you can successfully access Blackboard via the Sign in with a third-party account. This way you can make sure that all will be fine on the day of your assessment.
