University of Cape Town Admissions: Online Application Process for 2025/2026:

Applications for the academic year 2025-2026 are available from April 2nd through July 30 each year for interested students who wish to study at the University. Applications received after this date will not be considered; please apply within the application cycle before the closing date to guarantee your application is reviewed.

• Applications for admission in 2025 will open from the 2nd of April 2024,  and applications will close on the 31st of July 2024 for all undergraduate programs. The university does not consider late applications.

University Of Cape Town (UCT) Online Application Requirement 2025/2026

The following are the requirements needed when applying for admission to the University of Cape Town:

• Applicant must obtain grade 12
• A valid copy of your Identity Document
• Proof of the payment receipt of your application fee. This fee is not refundable.
• A unique email address when applying either online or in a hard copy.

University Of Cape Town (UCT) Online Application Fee 2025/2026

An application fee must be paid for every application. UCT students and graduates, as well as Semester Study Abroad (SSA) applicants, are exempt from the application fee unless applying to a Graduate School of Business (GSB) programme. The relevant application fee should accompany all applications:

• Undergraduate and postgraduate applications from South Africa and the Southern African Development Community (SADC) region – R100
• Undergraduate and postgraduate applications from outside the SADC region – R300
• Graduate School of Business (GSB) applications from South Africa and African citizens/residents – R2 070
• GSB applications from outside of Africa – USD 300
