A Certified copy of your Identity Document
Exam Results: Final Grade 12 results (if available). Grade 11 results (if you currently doing grade 12) are very important for your application. Thus, have it on hand.

To be eligible for admission to degree study, applicants need to meet minimum requirements for eligibility:

Applicants holding a South African National Senior Certificate (NSC) need to pass a minimum of 4 subjects at a rating of 4 (Adequate Achievement, 50-59%) or better in any four 20-credit NSC subjects.
Applicants holding a South African Senior Certificate need matriculation endorsement.

Declaration by Parent/Guardian for Minor Applicants must accompany all applications by prospective students under the age of 18.

The admission requirements for postgraduate study vary from one programme to another. You are advised to download the Postgraduate Study Guide to find out what is required for the course or degree that you want to take.

The closing date for Honours students is 30 November 2024, no late applications will be accepted.
The closing date for Masters & PhD students is 30 November 2024, no late applications will be accepted.

UFH Entry Requirements for International Undergraduate Programs Students:

Applicants holding non-South African school-leaving certificates must qualify for a matriculation exemption certificate.

UFH Entry Requirements for International Postgraduate Programs Students:

All applicants with non-South African qualifications are required to have their qualifications evaluated by the South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA).
