University of Johannesburg (UJ) Online Application 2025/2026 Academic year will be open from 1 April 2024 to 31 October 2024 for all Undergraduate programs. Therefore, all those who want to study at UJ for 2025 must apply online for admission before the application closing date or deadline. The University of Johannesburg (UJ) may not accept any late applications for the 2025 academic year so make sure you apply on time.

Applicants who are attending or have attended a University within or outside the Republic of South Africa must submit an academic transcript that covers the period of study, especially if they intend on being granted exemption from modules or courses at the University of Johannesburg.

University Of Johannesburg (UJ) Online Application Requirements 2025/2026

UJ 2025 applicants are to submit the following document together with their applications:

Proof of payment receipt of your application fee (This is a non-refundable compulsory fee for every applicant)
A Certified copy of your ID document(ID document is compulsory for South African citizens – your application cannot be processed without a certified copy of your ID and Passport Number for International Applicants)
Exam Results: Final Grade 12 results (if available). Grade 11 results (if you currently doing grade 12) are very important for your application. Thus, have it on hand.
A unique email address when applying either online or in a hard copy.

ALL INTERNATIONAL APPLICANTS SHOULD NOTE THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS:

Submit a completed application form along with supporting documents and a non-refundable application fee of R200. Online applications are free.
Supporting documents can be uploaded on the application platform or emailed to intappsdocs@listsrv.uj.ac.za.
If applying with international credentials or currently in Grade 12, submit final school leaving results or final Grade 11 results.
Provide a valid passport, identity document, or birth certificate.
If your documents are not in English, you must include a sworn English translation.
If English was not your medium of learning and teaching, you must demonstrate English proficiency. The University of Johannesburg (UJ) prefers an IELTS score of 6 or a TOEFL score of 80-104 for undergraduate programs. Alternatively, you can take the University of Johannesburg English Language Programme Test (UJELP), where you must score at least 6 overall. For more information about UJELP, contact ujelp1@uj.ac.za.
If both your first and second choice of programs are unsuccessful, the International Admissions Office may offer you an alternative program if you meet the requirements.
