Consequently, the North-West University (NWU) is currently in the process of aligning its qualifications and programs to meet the HEQSF requirements.

Prospective students should be aware that NWU’s qualification names, program names, and curriculum structure could change due to the HEQSF Project before the start of the 2025 academic year. North-West University (NWU) Online Application Requirements 2025/2026

Below is what you should do before applying to NWU:

• A valid, unique, and personal email address.
• You will need to register with this email address before you can apply. Your email address will also be used as your username and will be used to log in to your application profile after you have registered.
• You will also receive a temporary password at first and after you have changed it, you will always use your email address and new password to log onto your application profile.

Prepare the documents that you need to electronically upload:

• Keep your ID document and final Grade 11 or 12 results handy in digital format.
• The documents must be individually scanned as they are uploaded separately. Preferably available as PDF, jpeg, etc.

To consider your application, please upload the following supporting documents. If the application is incomplete, it may be declined by the University:

• Grade 12 results, Grade 11 results (final results only), or a copy of your matric certificate – if you have already passed matric.
• Applicants who are currently upgrading their grade 12 results, will only be considered after the improved results are presented to the NWU.
• Applicants who follow Cambridge, GED, or any other non-NSC curriculum, or who may qualify for exemption based on advanced age or post-school qualifications, must provide an exemption certificate as issued by USAF.

• Copy of your academic record (if applicable).
